1. Anchor in Rigor & Validity:A meaningful badge must represent a concrete, assessed skill. This means:
Clear Criteria: Precisely define what knowledge, behavior, or outcome the badge signifies.
Robust Assessment:Employ valid methods – practical projects, performance reviews, scenario-based tests, verified peer reviews
that genuinely measure the stated competency.

2. Embed Meaning & Context:A badge icon alone is meaningless. It must tell a story:
